The start of my journey

I found my passion for health, nutrition & exercising a few years ago. At this time I lived in Australia, worked in a sport pub and studying hospitality. It is a very clear memory, the day I had the ‘light bulb’ moment. It was a normal shift where I came home in the middle of the night, and I was sitting in the kitchen eating something light before heading to bed. My flatmate woke up and joined me at the table. With his sleeping routines and my working hours we sometimes randomly met in the kitchen when the rest of the house was asleep and had conversations about anything and everything. Normally it was him talking and I was half asleep trying to follow the dialogue. That night we started to talk about body image, society’s way of locking at overweight vs underweight people, nutrition, diets etc. Without thinking about it, I got really into the subject and slowly took over the conversation. He let me finish talking and then said ‘I have never heard you speak so passionate about anything before. This is what you should do’.

Since then I’ve been searching for how I can make my passion my every day job. I started to look into the job market, asking friends, searching for study options, and so on.. It was a new field for me and I didn’t know where to start or what was out there.. With my visa about to expire and no plan of where to go, I ended up moving to New Zealand. I got another job in hospitality, but the desire to get into the health and fitness industry never left my mind. I couldn’t enjoy this new country and the experience. I was unhappy, unsatisfied, restless and lost. I knew that before I could start my search for a new path, I needed to find a place where I could settle down. So I booked my last trips and then flew back home to Sweden. After a couple of weeks I booked myself a one way ticket to London.

After years of travelling, living, working and studying overseas I have now unpacked my bag and am ready for my new adventure. Whilst settling down in this new city, I took the first step of looking into studies and found the first domino in my journey. I started with an online course in nutrition and a few months later got my qualification as a personal trainer. With the strong passion for this field, I am still eager to learn more and am constantly searching for new information, and always looking to increase my knowledge base.

My goal now is to spread the message about general health; a message which I believe is so important. I want to help people find their way to a healthier lifestyle and reach their goals. I truly believe that healthy mind and healthy body goes hand in hand. When you fill your body with nutritious food, move your body, and have fun while doing these two things, healthy life will be your everyday life.

I think dieting and training programs with a set amount of weeks can get you focused for that set time, but when they are over, you will be back to old routines. My goal is to help people create new habits, a new mind set, and to find a lifestyle that is sustainable. Going back to basics with food and finding joy in exercising. Happiness should come from within, and with a happy body that will be much easier.

My life is now living, loving & breathing health and fitness – and I couldn’t be happier!
